AND… we are now proud to announce the very soon opening of our 2nd location in Shanghai, in the bustling foodie scene of Dagu Road in Shanghai.
Opening a restaurant is always a gamble, no matter if the resto’s chosen cuisine is popular and classic. Actually the pressure is even greater precisely because customers already know what to expect.
Dear diners, you will appreciate the cozy interiors and the subdued formal styling that is at once homey and elegant—there are touches of ancient Thailand all over draped over an urban atmosphere.
But of course, the setting is just a plus; it is the food that establishes a restaurant. In this regard, Thai cuisine is certainly one delightful gastronomic journey. Thai cooking has always been known for its spiciness, but it is so much more than that. It is a fusion of disparate fresh ingredients and spices, a marriage of flavors and aroma that makes the diner aware of every bite. Look back to your very first taste of Pad Thai and you’ll remember how it instantly opened up your senses and reminded you that “Damn, this is the life!” Yes, Thai cuisine is always a celebration of life.
So we promise to serve only the best Thai dishes without sacrificing authenticity. Our Thai chef, whom the staff has taken to calling “Mummy”, takes over the kitchen, preparing food with both professional and motherly passion as possible. Chef Mummy has done extensive travelling too, curating the best classic dishes from the north to south, while creatively inventing original recipes of her own to keep the menu always current and exciting.
Speaking of menu, we knows that not everyone is a fan of spicy foods—diners can always request what level of spiciness they want—so even kids and first-timers can enjoy the food. And for the health-conscious, the menu offers vegetarian-friendly choices.
So as you see, we wants everyone to feel welcome—the whole family, old friends catching up with each other, couples on a romantic date, employees hanging out after a day’s work, hungry locals and casual tourists, practically anyone who wants to try 100% authentic Thai cuisine. The place seats up to 70 people, and is open for parties and catering services. A delivery service is currently on the works as well.
A new resto opening is always something to get excited about, especially if it’s something that serves us our favourite Thai food.
